As an Information Analyst II you will implement existing RIM operating procedures to maintain the Wyeth Research records management system, stored data, and processes.  This may involve overseeing the administration of these procedures.  In conjunction or partnership with the appropriate departments (especially Wyeth Information Services) or project team(s), you will lead business support, testing, configuration, and implementation of records management systems and related business processes according to standard methodologies and enhance existing systems or processes similarly.  You will assist in the development of current and future business process models or procedures and formulate needs assessment reports, requirements analyses, technical/functional specifications, and migration plans for new and enhanced systems.  You will identify and evaluate new technologies for information management independently and at the direction of senior staff and participate in review and recommendation of new technologies.  You will support utilization of records management systems and processes by responding promptly to end-user inquiries and retrieve necessary information from or about records management systems to fulfill end-user requests, including configuration requirements to support records indexing needs.  You will handle specific questions related to all supported applications, answer help calls, and provide answers to more complex issues.  You will work closely with clients to review system functionality and efficacy of business processes to maximize the utility of records management systems and contribute to the design of improved R&D processes for information flow and management.  You will assist in leading small to medium projects, often developing overall project plans and participate on RIM or Wyeth projects as a team member.  You will lead development and administration of RIM training programs where appropriate, conduct formal training sessions (one-on-one, classroom, large auditorium) to clients as needed to enable effective use of information resources, develop manuals and training sessions and look for new ways to train end-users on supported applications aimed at their specific workflows.  May conduct training programs to support the records, data retrieval and information management systems and processes.  You will present to formal groups such as RIM management and client department meetings.  May assign work, check work, or assist with prioritization of tasks for non-exempt or exempt staff in a specific area of operations under the guidance of a RIM manager.  May also provide project related leadership to non-exempt and exempt level staff.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, information sciences or scientific discipline with 5 years of relevant experience, a Master’s degree in same areas with 3 years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. in same areas with no relevant experience required.  Candidate must also have an understanding of how information is used in a research and development organization, experience in conducting scientific research (such as laboratory experience or an advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline), solid knowledge of supported tools, applications and processes and solid knowledge of database logical structures and schema (for internal candidates), solid desktop computing skills, oral and written communication and good presentation skills, demonstrated ability to work as part of a team  Experience with development of functional analysis of IM systems is desirable and experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
